GPWU actively promotes exchange programs and welcomes exchange students from overseas partner universities. You can study for one semester or a full academic year. For further information about the exchange program at GPWU, please contact the person in charge of study abroad at your university.
Courses
Exchange students can take courses at an appropriate level in both the Faculty of Literature and the Faculty of International Communication. Most of the courses are taught in Japanese. Here are examples from the academic year 2019.

Tuition
Exchange students will pay tuition and other fees at their home universities. Tuition for GPWU will be exempted according to the agreement with each partner university.

Language proficiency
Exchange students must submit a recommendation letter proving an appropriate Japanese language proficiency signed by a faculty member of your home university, and / or a certificate of an adequate level of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test. Please ask your university for more detailed information.
Accommodation
GPWU prepares single accommodation apartment (furnished) near GPWU campus. Each room is equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, air conditioner, bed, cooking stove and bath. Monthly rent is 28,000 yen.
Support
GPWU provides a "tutor (buddy)" program for exchange students. Every exchange student has two GPWU students who help the exchange student study and adjust to the environment at GPWU.
